Archiving and Preservation Policy
The ARC: Journal of AI in Clinical Practice is committed to the long-term preservation, integrity, and accessibility of all its published content, ensuring that research in artificial intelligence and clinical practice remains available for future generations.
Digital Archiving
ARC uses the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, which supports robust digital preservation protocols, standardized metadata export, and compliance with long-term archiving standards. All articles, supplementary files, and metadata are securely stored to maintain accessibility over time.
Preservation Networks
To ensure continued access under any circumstances, ARC participates in recognized archiving networks, including the PKP Preservation Network (PKP|PN). These networks guarantee that
content remains accessible even in the event of technical issues, hosting disruptions, or cessation of journal publication.
Content Integrity
· Articles are preserved in their final published form, including HTML and PDF versions.
· Metadata such as DOI, author affiliations, abstracts, keywords, and funding information are securely stored.
· Supplementary materials, datasets, and figures accompanying articles are also preserved where applicable.
Redundancy and Backup
The journal employs redundant backup systems with multiple storage locations, ensuring that content is protected against accidental loss, hardware failure, or cyber threats.
Access Guarantee
In the event that ARC ceases publication:
· All previously published content will remain publicly accessible via PKP|PN and the journal website.
· Researchers, clinicians, and institutions can continue to cite and use the content to support ongoing research.
Indexing and Compliance
The preservation policy ensures that ARC content meets the requirements of indexing and abstracting services, libraries, and institutional repositories. This enhances visibility, discoverability, and long-term academic impact.
Commitment to Open Access
As an open-access journal, ARC supports unrestricted access to its content, ensuring that the research outputs in AI and clinical practice remain freely available to researchers, clinicians, and the public worldwide.
Future-proofing
The journal continually monitors best practices in digital preservation, file formats, metadata standards, and emerging technologies to ensure that its content remains accessible, readable, and interoperable for decades to come.
